My passion is to spread Peace, Joy and Love to a hurting world through the beauty of art. Currently, I am developing a series of tropical butterflies in fused glass to be incorporated into my public art and humanitarian endeavors. For every butterfly necklace sold, I donate one to be given away in a South American country. In November of 2024 50 were sent to Costa Rica for the Nicoya YWAM (Youth with a Mission) and in February of 2025 50 were sent to Guatemala with the Movement Mortgage mission trip. In September, 75 were sent to Ecuador for the Prosperina Mission that supports pregnant and endangered women.
I support butterfly conservation efforts in Costa Rica by sending butterfly necklaces to conservation facilities. The first recipient of 50 was the Butterfly Conservatory-Arenal. Glenn Baines writes, “Receiving these necklaces from you as a donation is a wonderful gift, and we will utilize the income to further our work at the Arenal Butterfly Conservatory.”
As I develop this series of fused glass butterflies, I am also creating products to help fused glass artists expand their capabilities. Cutout shapes, screen printing screens, and tutorials will be available next year. A portion of the proceeds will be used to help fund future humanitarian projects.
